Kerry is an experienced trainer, facilitator and career coach. Her expertise is in project management, leadership development, negotiation skills/conflict resolution and career development. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina and is actively involved with several animal rescue organizations and Special Olympics.
Sharon Blanchard has worked in higher education for 10 years on organizational and process improvement and curriculum development projects. She has held leadership and faculty roles at the institution, teaching project management and emotional intelligence courses in classroom and online. She has led cross-functional teams on projects, and specializes in project communication, conflict, scheduling, and human resources.
Chris got his introduction to project management from Jim Lewis about 20 years ago, when he worked for an Ingersoll-Rand company. After managing projects for the intervening years, he decided he would like to share his experience with new project managers, so he teaches project management courses for us and coaches new managers. He lives in Aiken, SC.
Alan wasn't satisfied to get one doctorate, so he got two of them--one in Chemistry and another in Chemical Engineering. He has been a company President, Manager of many engineering groups, and Consultant. He has a tremendously wide range of knowledge about technology and social subjects as well. He has published numerous technical papers and continues to do research on various topics. He lives in Greensboro, NC.
Jim began his professional career as an electrical engineer, designing communications equipment. After 15 years of this he earned a doctorate in psychology and began teaching seminars on leadership and project management on a global scope. McGraw-Hill and AMACOM have published 12 books authored by Jim. He is Charlie's adopted dad (see below). He founded the Lewis Institute in 1981 and is CEO.
David has worked in public relations and marketing for Emory University and is President of the Madison County (NC) Arts Council. He has a passion for helping people find their purpose in life and developing plans to achieve it. He divides his time between Marshall, NC and Atlanta, GA.
Julie is our Communications Manager. She loves writing and the mountains of North Carolina. She edits and writes for our Lewis Institute monthly newsletter, while tending bees and creating botanicals for fun and profit. She's also working on some personal writing that we hope to see her publsih.
Mary's expertise is in helping professional practices improve their bottom line. She lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she stays warm in the winter by watching Packers play football.
Charlie is our Chief Attitude Officer. He knows how to help us keep up good spirits even in difficult times. He was a rescue from Tennessee, and is a mix of lab and Schnauzer. We call him our Swartzhund, though he speaks no German, so far as we know.
